With a dominant pre-flop hand, Raymond Fu was able to come out on top in Side Event 5 at the 2009 Asian Poker Tour. Fu navigated through a field of 49 players to win the side event, which was a No Limit Hold 'Em R+A tournament.

The Chinese player put an emphatic end to the final heads-up matchup when he tabled pocket kings pre-flop against John Liang's K-Q. With no help coming for Liang post-flop, Fu won the trophy as well as the HK $52,500 first prize. Liang, on the other hand, walked away with HK $31,500 for his second place finish.

When asked about his thoughts on the Asian Poker Tour's event in Macau so far, he summed up his opinion by simply saying: "I'll definitely be back here for the other events."

The 2009 Asian Poker Tour Macau will be held at the StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Macau from August 12 to 23, 2009. Buy-in for the main event is set at HK $32,000 + $2,400.
